As the property market in Quebec is saturated, estate agents have to come up with selling methods that are more and more aggressive. Willing to ensure the survival of his business Jean Pierre Dufour copied an American strategy : the speaking house. He noticed that most of his potential clients would rather have some prior information about the house they are interested in before they possibly get in touch with a seller. Since then, each house is equipped with a radio transmitter which broadcasts in a continuous loop a 3 minutes message describing the residence. To obtain those information, the potential buyer just has to set his radio car on the frequency mentioned on the sign in front of the house. Without stepping out of his car, he can get to know the technical characteristics of the house and doesn’t have to meet the seller nor to disturb the owners.
