Her Royal Highness The Grand Duchess Josephine-Charlotte of Luxembourg died on January 10th 2005 at the age of 77 years.
Wife of Grand Duc Jean of Luxembourg, she was very popular in Luxembourg. Josephine Charlotte was the
sister of King Albert the second of Belgium. Grand Duc Jean and Grand
Duchess Josephine Charlotte reigned from 1964 until his abdication in
2000.
From the announcement of her death, Free Lens TV immediatly provided
SNG facilities to the national broadcaster RTL TV Luxembourg. From the
little village of Fischbach, where is located the Chateau of the Grand
Duc and the Grand Duchess, Free Lens TV SNG provided live coverage for
breaking News programs. Other broadcasters used these facilities on
site.
Free Lens TV also provided Digi Beta crews to cover the funerals
service on Saturday 15th for the belgium broadcaster VTM to record a
special "royalty" program.
Several log term client also requested library pictures of the Grand Duchess as well as of the Grand Duc family.
