Polecam is a unique, single operator broadcast or HD quality camera crane, designed specifically to be lightweight and very transportable, quick to rig and operating either off battery or AC supply. It will mount on a standard lightweight tripod and dolly or via the supplied body harness for complete mobility. Polecam gives you smooth, floating crane shots, raising the production values of any programme. The small profile head allows new angles that would be hard to get any other way.
Polecam is designed around remote-head 2 piece cameras where the small profile camera head mounts in the remote pan and tilt head cradle at the top end of the Polecam boom and the camera CCU or processing unit mounts at the back of the rig.

EFP / OB mode

Remotable up to 1km For multi-camera studio and OB work, Polecam offers the essential options of SDI out, and the Remote Control Panel, RCP. The RCP allows full remote control of Polecam standard def camera, the Toshiba 3-CCD IK-HD1E/IK-HD1. Colour balance, master pedestal, gain and detail can be remotely adjusted as well as many other engineering parameters. It also adds red AND green operator tally lights. The panel has been designed to be operator-friendly with the addition of a traditional push button preview. This allows Polecam to integrate easily into any OB or multi-camera set-up. As if all this wasn’t enough, a small joystick has recently been added to the RCP to offer remote control of the Polecam pan & tilt head. This means that the Polecam could be placed in a particular location unattended, ie without an operator, and the pan & tilt head operated remotely from the location of the RCP.
