The Dakar system

Our on–board camera was specifically modified to fit smugly on rally cars.

Its qualities

Very compact, 46mm x 57 x37, for 90g, it has no separate CCU / power supplier and all of the electronics are integrated inside the camera. 500 TV lines, manual iris, white balance, preset our on-board system works like a broadcast camera and all the set up can be change and record in the camera itself via a PC connection.

Compared to other systems our on board camera can be easily used in difficult filming conditions (air, land and water). The video signal is recorded on mini DV. The recorder, a modified GV-D 1000 Sony, has been optimised to work in extreme conditions.

All of the connections are waterproof enabling an easy use of the camera and of the remote control. For robust protection, the equipment is stored in Pelican series cases that can be attached on to nearly any surface. In dry land conditions, the VCR can be carried outside of its case.
